The mural pictured was created by the Pleasantville graduating class of 1986. When this graduating class was in fifth and sixth grade they began working on this picture as a class project. This mural is dedicated to the memory of Tracy Van Ryswyk and David Phipps. Both students helped work on this mural when it was started. During the time the class was working on this project they lost both Tracy and David in tragic accidents. That class felt that the love that went into the painting will keep their memories with them always. Today this beautiful mural hangs in the children’s area at the Webb Shadle Memorial Library in their honor. This information was cited from the Pleasantville 1985-1986 year book.
