In 1929, the Christian Church Ladies Aide created a “name quilt” as a fundraiser during the Great Depression. For just ten cents, residents could have their names stitched into this beautiful work of art, making it a lasting piece of our community’s story.
Thanks to the dedication of Pleasantville quilters Ruby Warren and Susan Tinder, this quilt preserves the names and memories of a challenging yet resilient time in our town’s history.
