DESCRIPTION:My name is Hank Kohler and in 2021 I paddled approximately 1900 miles\, mostly on the Mississippi\, raising funds for youth conservation programs at The National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque\, Iowa. The uniqueness of the journey I named One4Water is that I left from the same small lake in west central Minnesota where in 1979 four of us canoed to Hudson Bay. I can say that I left the same boat ramp and floated as far as the water could take me north and forty-two years later paddled as far as I could south. My stories about the One4water adventure will get the audience involved through their imagination as I have them pretend to paddle along during one of the trips more sporty days. I’ll explain the mission of journey the history behind it including talking about the 1979 adventure north and tell how donated funds are being used and the impact they are having. I’ll also explain how and why the One4Water book came to be. Stop by and hear stories of alligators\, barges\, flying fish and maybe be inspired to set out on your own quest to improve our planet. I’ll have books to sign and sell after answering your questions.
